Our sunny Sunday lead us to Sift Cupcakery in town. I wanted a cupcake in honor of Lauryn, who would have graduated from East Troy High School today. H chose the June flavor of the month "Bee's Knees," which was lavender cake with a honey buttercream frosting.
He mostly reveled in saying "bee's knees" repeatedly. Doi.
Note there are no photos of my "Bugsy" carrot cake cupcake. I ate it too quickly. Yes, he's wearing a bobby pin. Get over it.
oh my, that lavender honey cupcake sounds sooo good! Can I just say I love your blog? witty, interesting, fun. And cute cute cute pictures. Henry somehow looks years older. Haven't you only been gone for a month? It's like an eternity...
ReplyDeleteI remember being so amazed by lemon trees being totally normal when I first moved to California. I was so visually amused that somebody that I didn't even know gave me like 20 of them to take home and figure out what to do with them. I was ecstatic.
Mike and I just had the "What kind of tree do you want?" talk and lemons and avocados won out for me. (He said apple. Barf. Who wants an apple tree?) We saw an artichoke bush yesterday, too! Why aren't these people eating their food?
ReplyDeleteAnd what DID you do with those lemons?
And are you in your new home?!
